The Last Month in BC

Paul and I have been going non stop for the last month! This is why I have been such a slacker updating our blog! We had family and friends come and visit during Paul's last week of school. The school celebrates by having a gallery showing of all the students work. We decided to stay until the end of this month so that Paul can finish his fly tying desk. Here are your update pictures....

Here is Paul at the End of the Year Graduation Party! Robert asked Paul to give a speech written By JK (James Krenov)

Even now, although people may think that I've got it made and things are going fine, even now I am only carrying my end of the plank. Some else who is sharing life with me and has believed from the beginning in what I am trying to do is carrying the other end of the plank.

Ian (a teacher), Paul and Robert
That's it for now. We will be leaving Canada at the beginning of June. That's in a week! Paul and I will be going to CB, Colorado to live for the summer before we head back south in the fall! I'll try to give you one more update before we leave!!
Love and Miss Everyone!!!!

An Exciting Sunset

Paul and I were watching the sun set on the beach when a bald eagle flew by us with a duck in his talons for a snack! You have to be quick to see it, just keep your eyes on the big bird at the bottom. Paul's exciting commentary makes watching it worth while!

We see bald eagles in this area often. They love to hang out in a huge tree that overlooks the ocean near our cabin.

The weather is warming up here a little and there are many signs of spring! We still have many cold and rainy days, but we are looking forward to the warm weather!

Paul is busy working on his second project. He has designed a fly tying desk for the avid fly fisherman and is in the process of building it! Below are a few of his sketches.

Hope everyone is doing well! Miss You All!

Robyn's Trip Home.....

THANK YOU CHERYL FOR FLYING ME HOME!!!

I had a wonderful time down south thanks to my most thoughtful mother-in-law! Paul was unable to come due to workn' so hard in school! I felt like I made the best out of my two weeks and I packed a lot in!

Me, Mom, Dad, and Hailey at my favorite restaurant "Chef Lee's" in Columbus, GA

Babies, Babies, and more Cute Little Babies.........

Me, April, and Grady.....
I was able to meet Grady (Yes, he really is that cute) for the first time and visited with April (a long time friend). April is expecting a second baby in a few months. We can't wait!

Me, Maggie and Marianna
Maggie's 1st Birthday!

A real treat! I was able to visit the O'Dea's during Maggie's 1st Birthday! Maggie is the sweetest little girl you will ever know! She is such a happy baby and is pure joy to be around! I also spent some much needed time with Marianna (a hard working mommy). We have been friends since the 7th grade and is truly a blessing to me! Thanks for the visit~Love Aunt Birdie!

Another Happy Baby......
My cousin Lauren, Johnny and I

A wonderful surprise! I found out that Lauren and Johnny were also home for a visit. They currently live in Denver, Co with husband and dad Ryan. Mom, dad and I met Aunt Sherry, Uncle Tom, Lauren and Johnny at Rosehill for lunch. Rosehill is a long time lunch tradition in the Wade family!

My next stop on my vacation was visiting Darren (also a long time friend). Darren lives in Tallassee, AL, which is where I took the river pictures shown above and below. I was able to meet Bethanne, Darren's sweet and beautiful girl friend. Darren made us homemade pasta! It was sooooo Yummy! Thanks Darren and Bethanne!

Me, Darren and Libby

Tallapoosa River in Alabama

I also visited Paul's Parents Cheryl and Knud in Evergreen, Al. We had a wonderful time just the three of us! I feel very lucky to have such loving in-laws. I also spent time with Connie and Pop! I had the best time when Pop and I went for a visit on the farm! The Farm is one of my most favorite places in the world! It was a very special visit! Thank You!

While I was busy visiting friends and family Paul was in Roberts Creek working Hard. The picture below is another picture of his first project, almost done (all but he inside). The Inside Passage's website has been updated, you can follow the link I have at the top of the blog. It's worth checking out and seeing the amazing projects done by the students! Paul is now busy coming up with designs for his next piece!

After all my visiting I was ready to get back home to Paul! Paul took the day off to pick me up at the airport! We made the day out of it and explored downtown Vancouver. The following pictures are of us in Granville Island. Granville Island is a creative little arts district with a whole lot of character. We had a lovely day!

MISS ALL OF YOU!

Can't wait for Debbie and Bob, Cheryl and Knud to visit us in May!

XOXOXOXOX

On a beautiful sunny day, Paul and I set out the crab traps...

o.k. we didn't catch any crab but we had a good time!

Below, is a picture of Jack and I in front of a fallen tree. I felt so small campared to its incredible size. This was taken on one of the many trails Jack loves to explore up the road from our cabin.

The following pictures are of the Inside Passage's open house they held for the 1st half of the program. I forgot to take pictures until the last minute, but here are a few as the day was winding down. There was a big turn out and a lot of people left in amazment! These men have accomplished so much in such a few short months.

Here is a sneek peek of a few projects. Many were unfinished so I'll have to take new pictures when they are done.

The last two pictures were taken of Paul's cabinet. He is so talented!

The following Monday after the show, some of the class decided to go back country sking. It was very cold and snowy, but we had a blast!

The group trying to get warm at the warming house. Pictured from left to right, Adam, Dan, Doug, Paul, Robyn,Robert, Daisuke,& Juan Carlos.

I will be coming home to visit in a few days thanks to Cheryl Paul's mother. I can't wait to visit with everyone! Paul will not be coming, but he has his hands full!

We Love and Miss Everyone!
